Emily Cleveland, LCPC-CC

WellSpace Clinician (She/Her)

Emily bases her clinical practice on providing a safe environment, fueled by sincere empathetic regard and authenticity, where children, adolescents, and young adults can feel supported as they explore their emotions. Her goal is to empower clients to identify and voice their needs, feelings, triggers, and sources of encouragement and to develop their coping strategy toolkits so that they can be prepared to confidently face life’s challenges.

Emily uses an eclectic, person-centered approach to therapy and applies techniques rooted in CBT, DBT, Gestalt therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness therapy, art therapy, nature-based therapy, and play therapy while working with individuals affected by ADHD, autism, depression, stress, anxiety, explosive personality disorder, disruptive behavior disorders, body image struggles, a history of abuse, peer pressure, and grief. She also has experience working with children and their families to improve communication skills, replace maladaptive punitive measures, and promote positive reinforcement. Emily is passionate about the populations with whom she works. Her hope is that her clients will practice the skills that they learn in therapy and carry them throughout their lives.
