Kevin Freeman, LCSW-CC

WellSpace Clinician (He/Him)

Kevin holds the belief that every individual has the capacity and potential to grow and connect. He values the expertise of clients found within their life experience. He also passionately believes in the strength and synergy found within the therapeutic relationship. A few of Kevin’s essential qualities are curiosity, compassion, authenticity, and collaboration. He is drawn to life story and narrative approaches that help uncover yet undiscovered meaning. He also believes that we all, at times, wrestle with complex inner parts and that building relationship, openness and affection with these parts can be a gateway to growth. His background includes research on causes and consequences of chronic loneliness, particularly the impacts of culturally scripted gender roles. He has also been influenced by models of intergenerational family dynamics in particular the transmission of trauma. Kevin attempts to remain aware of how mental health issues are framed within lifespan context and that each stage of life holds unique sets of challenge and reward.
