Does WellSpace Maine accept Medicare or Medicaid?

We do not accept Medicare or Medicaid at this time.

What insurance plans does WellSpace Maine accept?

We are proud to accept the following insurance providers.

If you don’t see your plan there, don’t worry! Many insurance companies cover out-of-network therapy, check with your insurance company to learn more. If you have out-of-network benefits, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and we can provide a super bill for you to submit for reimbursement from your insurance company.

Will my insurance cover therapy?

Outpatient therapy is usually covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. Please check your coverage carefully by calling the member services number on the back of your insurance card and asking the following questions:

• Is a referral for therapy at WellSpace Maine required from my primary care doctor?

• What is my deductible and has it been met?

• Do I have a copay and what is it? 

• Do I have a “co-insurance” and what is it?

• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

Can WellSpace Maine help me navigate insurance?

At your intake call, our intake specialist will gather your insurance information. As a courtesy, our verification specialist will contact your insurance company to learn from them what your payment responsibility will be for counseling services. 

Please note that the information we are provided comes directly from your insurance company and is not a guarantee of patient responsibility. We have found that insurance companies occasionally give us inaccurate information and the ultimate cost of services is determined once claims are submitted and returned. One way to enhance accuracy is for you to also call your insurance company to gather information as well.

When is payment for each session due, and what payment methods do you accept?

Payment is due at the time of each session. Each client must have a card on file.

Can I pay with an HSA and receive receipts?

Yes, we will provide monthly superbills or receipts to anyone who needs them.
