Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)
An evidence-based, 8-week group for parents of children and teens struggling with anxiety and OCD.
When your child’s world feels small, yours does too.
Seeing your child struggle with anxiety or OCD is overwhelming. Often, the very things we do to comfort them; adjusting family routines, avoiding triggers, or constant reassurance, can inadvertently keep the family stuck in a cycle of worry.
It is natural to want to do everything you can to protect your child from the challenges of anxiety, but there is a more effective way to help them gain confidence and independence.
The Power of the Parent-Led Model
Developed at the Yale Child Study Center, SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) is a revolutionary approach. Unlike traditional therapy that focuses only on the child, SPACE works directly with you. By changing how you respond to your child’s anxiety, you provide them with the safety and structure they need to face their fears and build lifelong coping skills.
